Samsung is still focused on the Galaxy Note series, Note 8 to have 4K display

Despite the Galaxy Note7 crisis, Samsung is still focused on the Galaxy Note series and the Galaxy Note 8 is planned for a release later this year.

According to Business Korea, a Samsung official stated that the company will not give up on the phablet market which was started by the Galaxy Note series. It plans to release the Galaxy Note 8 later this year. Samsung will determine the launch date of the Galaxy Note 8 after taking into account the release dates of its predecessors.

The Samsung official also shared some information on what to expect for the Galaxy Note 8. Like the Galaxy S8, the Galaxy Note 8 will ship with the artificial intelligence (AI) assistant "Bixby". The Galaxy Note 8 is said to have ultra-definition VR features, improved stylus features, enhanced iris authentication system and a 4K display.
