Samsung is said to be cutting its phone production target for the rest of the year.

According to Korean publication Maeil Business News, Samsung is reportedly cutting its phone production by 30 million units. The lower production target affects phone models across the board from low, mid to high-end flagship devices. The initial target was 310 million units, but Samsung is now aiming for 280 million units.

Maeil Business News says the slower-than-expected global economic recovery, rising inflation, and the Russia-Ukraine war have dampened consumer demand for new phones.
