Samsung Singapore today announced the availability of the Samsung Odyssey G70A flat-screen gaming monitor.

Sure, some of us might be used to seeing the Odyssey line-up packing curved screens, but the firm also has conventional flat monitors made for gamers too. For the Odyssey G70A, it’s a 28-inch UHD (3,840 x 2,160 pixels resolution) IPS panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR400 support, and 1ms response time (Gray-to-Gray).

How Samsung makes this a must-have for gamers are its additional features that help with gaming compatibility, no matter your setup choice. The monitor comes with both NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro compatibility, allowing you to pair it with graphic cards of either brand to milk their full benefits. In addition, it has two HDMI 2.1, one DisplayPort 1.4, and two USB 3.0 slots so that you can plug multiple setups and 4K120Hz gaming consoles. For comfort, it comes with a stand, and offers ergonomics like tilting, swivelling, pivoting, and height adjustment.

One additional feature is Auto Switch+, where you can plug your monitor into your work laptop – the G70A automatically detects and switch over to its new source signal. Finally, for added flair, the light on the monitor’s rear changes colours to match your on-screen content and colour palette – something that Samsung calls CoreSync.

The Samsung Odyssey G70A officially retails at S$1,288 on Samsung’s Online Store, and Samsung’s alternative official platforms on Lazada, Shopee and Qoo10. It’s also available in Best Denki, Courts, Gain City, Harvey Norman, and Challenger

For a limited time, the Odyssey G70A goes at a special promotional price of S$1,188. We’re checking with Samsung Singapore for more details about this promotion.
