The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 might feature an "Ultra" variant this year.

Tech site GalaxyClub claims Samsung is working on an upcoming device with the model number SM-F958. The "8" at the end of the model number is typically used to denote an "Ultra" device.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has the model number SM-S928 while the Galaxy Z Fold5's model number is SM-F946. If these model numbers are any indication, the Galaxy Z Fold6 should have the model number SM-F956.

GalaxyClub added that the Galaxy Z Fold6 Ultra might be limited to the South Korean market at launch. There is no information at the moment to indicate its availability beyond the Korean market.

Since the Galaxy Z Fold series already has a premium price tag, it's hard to imagine that Samsung wants to add a more expensive "Ultra" model to the lineup. Furthermore, what would Samsung do to differentiate it from the "regular" Galaxy Z Fold, which already has flagship-class specs and features?

There are recent reports of Samsung launching an entry-level foldable phone that could be more affordable than the Galaxy S24, which makes sense considering the global growth rate of foldable phones is expected to slow down this year due to the high price points of foldable devices.
