Purported Samsung roadmap suggests Galaxy S21 FE announcement in August

The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE.

A mini-roadmap of Samsung has been published by well-known tipster Evan Blass.

The mini roadmap reveals four upcoming launches in the next five months which include announcements for computing devices in April, Galaxy Tab S7 Lite in June, Galaxy A22 5G in July and the Galaxy S21 FE in August.

While August is typically reserved for the Galaxy Note series, Samsung seems to be replacing it with the Galaxy S21 FE and an announcement is slated for 19 August. Bloomberg reported yesterday that Samsung is considering to skip this year's Galaxy Note phones due to "a serious imbalance in supply and demand of chips in the IT sector globally". The FE moniker was introduced last year with the launch of the Galaxy S20 FE and it is no surprise that the Galaxy S21 lineup will be getting the same treatment this year.

The Galaxy Tab S7 Lite will be the successor of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, which was launched in Singapore almost a year ago. It is likely to be positioned as the smaller and lighter version of the flagship Galaxy Tab S7 lineup. The Galaxy A22 5G will be the next entry-level model after today's unveiling of the Galaxy A32 5G, A52 5G and A72.
