Samsung might not be ready to launch the Galaxy Fold in July.

According to The Korea Herald, Samsung and its partners shared that the schedule of a media event for the Galaxy Fold in Korea and its offical launch event have not been confirmed.

“If we are running such a media event this month, we should be doing something by now,” said a Samsung official. “Nothing has progressed since the April delay.”

There have been conflicting reports on the possible launch date for the Galaxy Fold. Media site newstomato claimed that Samsung would hold a press conference later this month to share more details on the changes and enhancements made to the foldable phone. Korean media outlet Yonhap News Agency said it is taking longer than usual for Samsung to improve the hardware quality of the device and have it re-certified for use with mobile networks.

The initial launch of the Galaxy Fold was delayed after reviewers encountered display issues within 48 hours. Since then, Samsung is said to have spent weeks making two key improvements to the foldable phone. Huawei is also delaying the launch of the Mate X foldable phone as it wants to do extra tests on the phone.
