Samsung to remove the home button and go "full-screen" on the Galaxy S8?

Samsung is said to be gearing up for a major design revamp with the Galaxy S8.

ETNews reports that Samsung will be removing the physical home button from the Galaxy S8 and embed the fingerprint sensor in the display. By doing so, the Korean company is able to eliminate the bezels, and expand the curved display to the top and bottom. This will result in a truly "full-screen" smartphone.

An industry source also told the ETNews that Samsung is considering whether to equip the Galaxy S8 with an all-in-one dual-camera module or have two separate cameras. While Samsung is eager to launch the Galaxy S8 to offset the decline in sales of the Galaxy Note7, it is making sure that history does not repeat itself.

Other purported specs of the Galaxy S8 include a 4K display, display sizes of 5.1 and 5.5-inches, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset and virtual reality. We won't be surprised if the Galaxy S8 does not come with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
