Samsung's new Gear Fit 2 Pro fitness tracker went live on the company's websites just before the Unpacked event for the Galaxy Note8.

As previously reported by VentureBeat, the Gear Fit 2 Pro has improved water resistance at 5ATM which makes it a perfect training companion in the pool. There is even a Speedo app developed for the Gear Fit 2 Pro so that you can track the stats in an easy-to-read interface. The Gear Fit 2 Pro also supports four fitness apps - UA Record, MapMyRun, MyFitnessPal and Endomondo.  Another new feature is the improved clasp which will secure the fitness tracker to your wrist during physical activities.

Besides the improved water resistance, Speedo app and improved clasp design, the Gear Fit 2 Pro has similar specs as its predecessor. You get a 1.5-inch curved Super AMOLED display, GPS, heart rate sensor, gryo sensor, barometer, accelerometer, Bluetooth 4.2, 0.5GB RAM, 4GB internal storage space (actual usage space of approximately 2GB) and a 200mAh battery that offers up to 4 days of typical usage time.

The Gear Fit 2 Pro will come in two colors: black and red. Pricing and availability are not known at the moment, but Samsung is likely to share more during the Unpacked event for the Galaxy Note8.
