As iPhone 8 mass production has reportedly started, Samsung is also increasing its production capacity of OLED panels for Apple.

According to ETNews, Samsung Display is operating 7 of its sixth-generation flexible OLED lines on full scale this month. With all production lines operating at full capacity, Samsung Display can manufacture 105,000 panels per month which is a seven-fold increase in production capacity from 15,000 panels per month from last year.

With Apple rumored to use OLED panels for all new iPhone models next year, Samsung Display has planned to invest around KRW1 trillion into their OLED display complex to secure its position as the world's biggest manufacturer of OLED panels and the exclusive supplier of OLED panels for Apple.
