Samsung might release the Galaxy Note 9 earlier this year

Samsung might be releasing the Galaxy Note 9 earlier than its typical schedule this year.

According to The Investor, the Galaxy Note 9 could be unveiled in July or August based on reports that Samsung Display will start producing OLED panels for the device in April.

In addition, it is believed that Samsung wants to launch the Galaxy Note 9 ahead of the three new iPhones coming in September and to make up for the poor sales of the Galaxy S9.

The Galaxy Note9 is expected to sport a slightly bigger display at 6.38-inches, up from the current 6.32-inches. It is not likely to have an in-screen fingerprint sensor.
