Samsung may equip the Galaxy S10+ with 5 cameras

Camera hardware is likely to be a major focus of the Galaxy S10+ according to the latest rumor.

Korean publication The Bell reports that the Galaxy S10+, which is the most premium of the three purported models coming next year, may come with two front facing cameras. This setup should be similar or better than the setup on the Galaxy A8 which offers better selfies with bokeh effects.

If this report is true, the Galaxy S10+ could come with 5 cameras (including the rumored triple lens camera on the back.) One of the three lens is said to be a super wide angle one. This will put the Galaxy S10+ on par with the upcoming LG V40, which is also reportedly coming with 5 cameras.

However, the upcoming LG V40 and Galaxy S10+ will pale in comparison to the handset that camera maker Light is working on. Light confirmed to The Washington Post that it is currently testing a phone with up to 9 cameras and it will be announced later this year.
