Samsung lowers retail prices of Galaxy S6 and S6 edge in Netherlands

Will we see similar price cuts for the Samsung Galaxy S6 (left) and Galaxy S6 edge (right) in Singapore soon?

Samsung revealed during its Q2 earnings report last week that it would be adjusting the prices of the Galaxy S6 models to maintain sales momentum. Today, a report from Netherlands reveals the extent of the price cut. According to TechTastic, below are the new retail prices:

  • Samsung Galaxy S6 (32GB) - €599 (~S$903)
  • Samsung Galaxy S6 (64GB) - €699 (~S$1,053)
  • Samsung Galaxy S6 edge (32GB) - €699 (~S$1,053)
  • Samsung Galaxy S6 edge (64GB) - €799 (~S$1,204)

As a quick recap, the 32GB model of the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge currently cost about S$998 and S$1,168 respectively. If Samsung Mobile Singapore implements the price cut, we could be looking at a discount of close to S$100!

We reckon the price cut would be implemented soon before the launch of the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ on 13th August. Don't you think this would be a good SG50 promotion?
