Express yourself with the Samsung Lifestyle TV series
The television is an inescapable part of any modern living space. After all, we depend on it for our daily dose of news and entertainment. As such, the television is often considered one of the main focal points in the home. However, when the television is not in use, the black screen that faces us is not the most aesthetically pleasing and can sometimes be jarring to the overall look and feel of your abode.
But it need not be so with Samsung’s Lifestyle TV series, powered by the innovative QLED technology. The idea behind the Lifestyle TV series is that your television can (or should) be much more than just an entertainment box. Why not turn it into a mobile display, a piece of framed art or even an artistic piece?
And here’s where we introduce the trio lifestyle televisions of The Sero, The Frame and The Serif.
The Sero – Mobile entertainment, better on TV
If you’ve ever wished for your mobile screen to be as big as your television, well, your wish has come true. Meet The Sero, the latest addition to the Samsung Lifestyle TV series and the winner of the CES Best of Innovation and iF Gold Award 2020 awards. The reason? It’s a 43-inch QLED TV that moves to fit your mobile content.
It’s not as one-directional as it sounds, literally - the Sero’s ability to rotate between portrait and landscape modes makes it easy for you to enjoy your mobile content on the large screen, so you can be watching Netflix one minute and scrolling through Twitter or TikTok the next. Here's a snippet of it in action from CES 2020:-
Tired of those black bars on your television when you play a video on your mobile phone? The Sero will also display them with an optimised viewing ratio so you can enjoy it on the full screen. It’s the perfect companion for heavy social media users; a light tap on the bezel with your smartphone is all it takes to mirror your smartphone content.
Oh, and it’s got wheels too. Roll it out to the living room and run music visualisations for parties, and then back to the bedroom to enjoy serenading background music after – The Sero’s Portrait mode offers the options you need to create your ideal atmosphere. Complemented by The Sero’s 4.1-channel 60w speakers, it’s no exaggeration to say that you can surround yourself with powerful sound anytime and anywhere.

The Frame - TV when it’s on, Art when it’s off
Samsung knows your space deserves more than just a television. It deserves one that's always beautiful whether it's on or off, one that reflects who you are and what you love, that changes whenever your mood strikes, and delivers the sumptuous picture of QLED and further enhanced by the dual-LED backlight to improve color contrast and accuracy. Well, say hello to The Frame.
The Frame, which is available in 55-, 65- and 75-inch variants, is designed to turn your TV into a piece of elegantly framed art. To continue the illusion of an actual framed artwork, there are additional customisable bezels available for purchase in four different colours – black, brown, beige and white, allowing you to personalise your television (one is complimentary with every purchase of The Frame). It's as easy as snapping off and snapping on a different trim for your TV.
As a matter of fact, it’s the only TV you’ll want to watch even when it’s off. That's because when it’s turned off while in Art Mode, it elegantly exhibits a range of pre-loaded art collections from renowned galleries and museums all around the world. If those aren’t to your liking, you can curate over 1,200 pieces of art and photographs from established and emerging artists around the world via the Samsung Art Store as well, ensuring that you’ll be able to find a suitable piece of art to complement your living space.
Then there’s the nifty array of connectivity options to make our lives easier, such as Multi-View and Tap View.
Multi-View, for instance, allows you to display two screens at once on The Frame. View media from different sources, such as from TV apps, a Blu-ray player, or a game console, on the left screen while also mirroring your phone to the right with the option of another 13 different layouts. Tap View, as its name suggests, allows you to easily display any content from your phone on the TV screen by merely giving a gentle tap with it anywhere on the bezel of the TV.
Oh, and in case you’re worried about having a jungle of wires dangling from your TV, don’t be - it’s all kept neat and tidy using a One Invisible Connection as well as a no-gap wall mount, so your living room looks as clean and classy as it should be.
The Serif – Unconditionally beautiful
A stellar collaboration between Samsung and the acclaimed Parisian design brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, The Serif is a stately addition that every room doesn’t just want, but needs. The sleek and iconic unibody TV, which comes in 43-inch and 55-inch variants, harmoniously blends into your home and comes with its own unique metal stand too, adding a tasteful, modish touch to your decor. Alternatively, should you choose to take the classic route and display the TV in all its glory, or blend it in with your décor by placing it directly on your TV console unit, the splash of luxe it adds is a real treat for the eyes.
Ultimately, The Serif is all about adding to your home aesthetics and helping you relax, even when you’re not watching anything. This is on top of all the visionary features it boasts, which include the aforementioned Multi-View and Tap View, as well as its QLED screen technology with dual-LED backlight system.
