Samsung Launches Series 7000 Plasma 3D TV

SINGAPORE – May 18, 2010 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., a market leader and award-winning innovator in consumer electronics, officially launched the Samsung Series 7000 Plasma 3D TVs in Singapore. The Samsung C7000 Plasma 3D TVs complement the recently launched C7000 3D HD LED TVs, reinforcing Samsung’s position as the leader in the 3D TV market in Singapore.

To allow Singapore consumers to enjoy the full 3D home entertainment ecosystem, Samsung has also introduced a Samsung 3D promotion bundle for consumers who purchase the Samsung Series 7 Plasma 3D TV. The bundle includes the world’s first 3D Blu-ray player, the Samsung BD-C6900 (worth S$799), as well as two pairs of adult-sized Samsung 3D glasses and a limited edition 3D Blu-ray disc, Monsters versus Aliens, from DreamWorks Animation (worth S$399).

The Samsung Plasma 7000 HDTV brings the high-quality of plasma displays and the immersive experience of 3D entertainment in a slim, black metal colored crystal TV design to delight entertainment enthusiasts. This ultra-slim TV comes equipped with a wealth of immersive viewing technologies and picture enhancing technologies, including Samsung’s Clear Image Panel technology which delivers clear images from every angle without the layered images and blurring typically found with conventional panels. It also features High-Definition 3D Processing and Internet@TV connectivity.

Samsung’s 3D system delivers a picture using a full color spectrum for a fully immersive viewing experience. Along with the company’s 3D Blu-ray player (BD-C6900) and active shutter glasses, Samsung offers a complete solution allowing consumers to bring the 3D theater experience home. Its embedded proprietary 2D-to-3D engine can also process and convert regular high-definition, high-resolution broadcast TV, gaming content and legacy DVDs into 3D in real time.

The Samsung Series 7 Plasma 3D TV is now available in 50-, 58- and 63-inch models at recommended retail prices of S$5,499, S$6,999, S$7,499 respectively.
