Earlier in February, Samsung announced its new SSD 750 Evo drives. These were to be Samsung's most affordable drives and were targeted mainly at OEMs and system builders.

However, strong consumer demand has made Samsung rethink their positioning. As a result, Samsung has decided to expand its SSD 750 lineup with a new 500GB model.

In addition, Samsung will also begin shipping to the SSD 750 Evo to more countries. According to reports, the SSD 750 Evo will be made available in over 50 countries by early June, including the U.S., China, and Korea.

This is great news since we found the SSD 750 Evo to be a terrific drive in our recent entry-level SSD shootout.

The new 500GB SSD 750 Evo will launch next week at PC Show 2016 and will be priced at S$229, which will make it one of the most affordable SSDs in its capacity class.
