Samsung might introduce more advanced Galaxy AI features for paid users

Samsung is considering to offer more advanced Galaxy AI features for paying users in the future.

Samsung hinted that it might offer more advanced Galaxy AI features for paid users after 2025.

T.M. Roh, president of Samsung's mobile business, revealed during a media briefing that a significant amount of resources has been spent on developing and providing the AI capabilities in Galaxy AI.

While these Galaxy AI features will remain free for customers until 2025, Roh suggested that there could be customers who demand more powerful AI features and are willing to pay for them.

He said:

According to our analysis, there are various needs for mobile AI... there could also be customers who wish for even more powerful AI capabilities, and even pay for them.

He also said that there will be customers who are content with using Galaxy AI features for free. Roh states that the company "will take these factors into consideration" in the future decision-making process. He added that Galaxy AI is slated to arrive on 100 million devices globally by the end of this year.

Even though the Samsung executive did not confirm that Galaxy AI will become a paid service after 2025, his statements open the door for subscription-based AI features to roll out, especially when there is a user base of over 100 million.
