Tipster @Tech_reve shared on X that the Galaxy Z Fold6 will be "equipped with titanium", which likely means it will have a titanium frame.

Since Samsung's Galaxy S24 Ultra already has a titanium exterior, it makes sense for the company to bring it to the Galaxy Z Fold6 too. The Galaxy Z Fold5 currently has an aluminium frame.

The use of titanium in the frame not only makes the device lighter, but it also makes it more durable and resistant to corrosion. Furthermore, titanium is said to resist fingerprints and smudges better.

Samsung is likely to use Grade 2 titanium on the frame of the Galaxy Z Fold6, which is the same grade of titanium as the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Apple uses Grade 5 titanium on the iPhone 15 Pro, which is stronger and more durable. However, Grade 5 titanium is about four times more expensive.

Purported leaked renders of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 indicate that it is expected to share some design elements of the Galaxy S24 series, so it could have a boxier design. Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 in late July with retail availability beginning sometime in August.
