Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 retails at S$2,888, pre-order details within

Shortly after Samsung announced the foldable Galaxy Z Fold2 globally, local pricing and availability details are now out. Let's get straight into the details.

The 5G-capable Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 officially retails at S$2,888 on 18 September 2020 in Mystic Bronze and Mystic Black colours. It can be found at our local telcos (M1, Singtel and StarHub), Samsung Online Store, Samsung Experience Stores, and other major consumer electronics & IT stores. Singapore will carry the 256GB version. The device also comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ chipset - but then again, there's no Exynos-Qualcomm split in this particular model either.

Accessories for the Galaxy Z Fold2 include the Aramid Standing Cover (Black or Green) retailing at S$98, and the Leather Cover (Black, Green, or Brown) retailing at S$118. They are sold separately.

Pre-order period and bonus

The pre-order or registration of interest period for the Galaxy Z Fold2 begins on 9 September 2020, at 10AM. This launch timing applies to telco pre-orders, Samsung direct pre-orders, and pre-ordering via selected consumer electronics and IT stores below.

All customers who pre-order the Galaxy Z Fold2 will receive a complimentary set of Galaxy Watch3 Bluetooth (45mm) in Mystic Black (worth S$698) upon successful payment and collection/delivery of their pre-orders.

Galaxy Z Premier Service

The Galaxy Z Premier Service that was available to the Galaxy Z Flip device (the other foldable Samsung mobile that folds the other way) is now back and available for folks who pick up the Galaxy Z Fold2.

Galaxy Z Premier Service is an after-sales care service for Galaxy Z phone users (Galaxy S and Galaxy Note users get the Samsung Concierge instead). After paying a fee (amount depends on your Galaxy Z device), phone users enrolled within the Galaxy Z Premier Service get the following perks:

• 24-hour concierge supporter via Samsung Members app
• One-time screen replacement or repair with a deductible of S$200
• Door-to-door pick-up and delivery for device repairs (two times only)
• Additional service benefits, including 30-day 1-to-1 exchange for functional defects, data transfer assistance, diagnostic checks, one-time 1-to-1 in-box accessories exchange, priority queue at authorised Samsung Customer Service Centres (VivoCity and Westgate)
• Valid for 12 months from the date of purchase of a new Galaxy Z device
