Samsung launches Galaxy Z Flip3 Bespoke Edition, Maison Kitsuné collaboration for Buds2 and Watch4

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 Bespoke Edition.

At this evening’s Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event (20 October 2021), the Korean electronics firm launched the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 Bespoke Edition. In essence, the Z Flip3 now gets a total of 49 colour combinations, and every Z Flip3 Bespoke Edition is made to order.

Customisable parts include its faceplate, where users can pick from Blue, Yellow, Pink, White or Black for the front and back panels separately. Users also get a choice between the traditional hinge and frame colours (Silver) or Black.

While it’s not the first time Samsung is offering customisable Z Flip phones, the Galaxy Z Flip3 Bespoke Edition is Samsung’s first attempt at offering customisation beyond front and back panels.

As an added bonus, Bespoke Edition users of the Z Flip3 can get Bespoke Upgrade Care (a separately paid service) to swap colour panels whenever they wish.

While no specs were shared, the Galaxy Z Flip3 Bespoke Edition is not functionally different from the already-launched Galaxy Z Flip3 5G (review here).

Samsung Singapore said that the Galaxy Z Flip3 Bespoke Edition is not officially available or supported here. The smartphone officially retails in Korea, US, UK, Germany, France, Canada and Australia today (20 October 2021).

Maison Kitsuné collaboration

Samsung is partnering up with French-Japanese music/fashion label Maison Kitsuné for the Maison Kitsuné Editions of the Samsung Galaxy Buds2 and Galaxy Watch4. The limited-edition buds and smartwatch (sold separately) come with Maison Kitsuné livery and a matching smartphone theme pack.

Owning either buds or watch also unlocks the special Maison Kitsuné smartphone theme for Samsung Galaxy handsets, although it’s not specified which model the theme is designed for.

Pre-order begins today (20 October 2021), with extremely limited sets available. Sadly, the foxy collection is also not officially available in Singapore.

"Why Samsung? Why you no bring these to SG?" - Jeon So-mi, probably.
