Samsung is bringing several enhanced features on the Galaxy Watch Active2 to its older smartwatches.

Thanks to a new software update, users of the Galaxy Watch and Watch Active will have a new UX with enhanced Samsung Health features, Bixby features and customisation options.

Galaxy Watch and Watch Active users can now keep track of their fitness goals through the Daily Active feature. They can also track lap times for running and cycling. The heart monitoring feature is going to support a Low Heart Rate Alert.

These users can take fuller advantage of Bixby Voice; they can use Bixby Voice to start exercise routines, find out time differences between places, and easily control their SmartThings ecosystem. In addition, Bixby Voice has newly expanded language capabilities which include British English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.

Across all of the Galaxy Watch models, users enjoy access to 24 new sub-dials and complications. The improved UX will bring the new My Style feature for the first time to users. Other new UX features include a clearer graphic UI, easier user interaction, new emoji offerings and a new Touch Bezel interface specifically for Galaxy Watch Active users.

Starting today, the software update will be rolled out region-by-region.
