The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 rumored to come in three models

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active was announced in February 2019.

Samsung is said to be launching three variants of a new smartwatch alongside the Galaxy Note10 next month.

Sources revealed to Wareable that Samsung will release the Galaxy Watch Active 2 in three models: an LTE model, a Bluetooth-only model, and an Under Armour-branded Bluetooth model. The three models will also have different case materials:

  • LTE model - stainless steel case, leather strap, four color options (black case with black strap, silver case with black strap, gold case with brown strap, and a rose gold case with pink strap)
  • Bluetooth model - aluminium case, three color options (dark blue, silver and rose gold cases with matching straps)
  • UA model - exclusive sporty strap with free six months of MapMyRun subscription

Like the Apple Watch Series 4, the Galaxy Watch Active 2 will come in 40mm and 44mm case sizes. They are also expected to sport an electrocardiogram (ECG) monitor. However, the ECG function will not be available at launch as Samsung is still waiting for approval from FDA. The Galaxy Watch Active 2 is stated to be compatible with Android phones and iPhones, but LTE functionality is limited to Android phones at launch.
