The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE could be unveiled as early as next month.

Industry sources told The Korea Economic Daily that Samsung informed its subsidiaries and suppliers to prepare for a launch of the Galaxy S23 FE in October.

A similar launch timeline was reported in June, but SamMobile claims the handset would only be available in selected countries in Q3 before expanding to other markets in Q4.

The Korea Economic Daily says it remains to be seen which processor will be powering the Galaxy S23 FE. A rumour in April suggests the Galaxy S23 FE will launch with the Exynos 2200 in all markets.

However, a tipster shared in February that the Galaxy S23 FE will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform.

The Galaxy S21 FE, which was released in January 2022, comes with the Exynos 2100; while the Galaxy S20 FE, the first model of the series, runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865.

It's hard to guess which processor will eventually make it on the Galaxy S23 FE, especially when Samsung extended a strategic partnership with Qualcomm through the end of 2030.

Aside from the processor, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is said to have an upgrade for its main camera, storage options of 128GB and 256GB, RAM configurations of 6GB and 8GB, and a 4,500mAh battery.

While the purported specs are unlikely to compete against the Apple iPhone 15 Pro models, the Galaxy S23 FE could be an alternative to the standard iPhone 15 models if Samsung is able to price it attractively.
