More details on Samsung Galaxy Ring revealed at MWC 2024

The Samsung Galaxy Ring will come in three colours: ceramic black, platinum silver, and gold.

A month after teasing the smart ring, Samsung today showcased its Galaxy Ring at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024.

The Samsung Galaxy Ring is available in ring sizes 5 to 13 and the different sizes are indicated from S to XL on the inside. It will also come in three colour options: ceramic black, platinum silver, and gold.

For health and fitness features, the Samsung Galaxy Ring monitors heart rate, breathing rate, sleep quality, and night movement. One notable mention is the sleep apnea feature, which can detect signs of moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea.

Another two new AI-powered upcoming features include My Vitality Score and Booster Card. Coming to Samsung Health later this year, My Vitality Score generates a score based on your daily activity, sleep quality, resting heart rate, and heart rate variability. On the other hand, Booster Cards enable you to set well-being goals and get updates on your progress.

Samsung says the Galaxy Ring will be exclusively compatible with Galaxy phones at launch, and there are plans to bring support for other Android devices.

As for availability, all we know now is that the Galaxy Ring will be launching sometime later this year. Pricing has yet to be determined. We'll update this article when we know more.
