Samsung is speeding up the launch schedule of its new flagship smartphones this year and 2019.

Industry sources told The Korea Herald that Samsung is preparing to launch the flagship smartphones slightly earlier than previous years for multiple reasons such as poor sales of the Galaxy S9 models. As Samsung has reportedly begun mass production of 6.38-inch OLED displays, it is expected to launch the Galaxy Note 9 in late July with global roll-out as early as August.

The Korea Herald corroborates the report by The Bell that Samsung will be unveiling the Galaxy S10 and its first foldable smartphone at CES 2019 in January and MWC 2019 in February respectively. It expects production of the flexible display panels for the first foldable Samsung phone to begin in November.
