Samsung Galaxy Fold launches today for a whopping S$3,088 (Updated)

Samsung's initial woes with their Galaxy Fold have been well-documented, culminating in a launch delay. But changes made to two key areas of the foldable phone have now made the company confident enough to announce a launch date.

Available first for Korea on 6 September, the Galaxy Fold will then be available in selected countries including France, Germany, U.K., U.S and Singapore from 18 September in two colour variants Cosmos Black and Space Silver.

The Galaxy Fold in LTE variant will be available in Singapore with a recommended retail price of S$3,088 from M1, Singtel and StarHub and Samsung Experience Store at VivoCity. UPDATE: There's a catch; you'll have to register your interest here first. Successful registrants will then be notified by their telco or retailer upon arrival of stocks.

If you're looking for the Space Silver version (as shown above), you'll have to wait just a wee bit longer as that colour will only be available from 21 September.
