Alongside the new Galaxy S23 phones, Samsung also unveiled its new Galaxy Book3 notebooks. The star of the notebooks, however, has to be the all-new Galaxy Book3 Ultra.

As its name suggest, this is the flagship of the Galaxy Book3 lineup and its specs are impressive.

It has a 16-inch OLED display that has a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels and a high 120Hz refresh rate. The display is also VESA ClearMR and DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified.

And underneath the proverbial hood are the latest chips from Intel and NVIDIA. It's powered by Intel's latest 13th Gen H-series Core processors – and you can get it with either the Core i7-13700H or Core i9-13900H.

Graphics duties are handled by NVIDIA's RTX 40 series GPUs and you can get the Galaxy Book3 Ultra with either a GeForce RTX 4050 or RTX 4070.

The Galaxy Book3 Ultra can be equipped with up to 32GB of memory and 1TB of SSD storage.

Despite the notebook's formidable specs, the Galaxy Book3 Ultra is just 16.5mm thick. Weight is around 1.7kg thanks to an aluminium chassis.

It won't be a Galaxy notebook without some sort of integration with Samsung's Galaxy mobile devices and users who are invested in Samsung's ecosystem will be able to quickly share and transfer files between the Galaxy Book3 Ultra and their Galaxy phones. And if you have a Galaxy Tab, you can use it as a secondary display.

The Galaxy Book3 Ultra wasn't the only notebook Samsung announced because there's also the Galaxy Book3 Pro and Galaxy Book3 Pro 360. The former is a traditional clamshell-style notebook, while the latter is a convertible-style notebook.

Like the Ultra, these notebooks are powered Intel's newest 13th Gen Core processors and they feature 3K OLED displays. The Galaxy Book3 Pro is available in 14 and 16-inch sizes while the Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 is only available in 16-inch.

Availability and pricing

There's no word yet on local availability and pricing but the Galaxy Book3 Pro and Pro 360 will go on sale later this month in the US with prices starting at US$1,449.99 (~S$1,901) and US$1,899.99 (~S$2,492) respectively.

Prices of the more powerful Galaxy Book3 Ultra will start at S$2,399.99 (~S$3,147) but no release date has been set yet.

Unfortunately, there are also no mentions of these notebooks coming to Singapore.
