Samsung Display just announced that it has started the mass production of 90Hz OLED panels for laptop.

In a news release, the South Korean company claims its 90Hz OLED panels offer better image blur length than 120Hz LCD panels based on internal testing. Its 90Hz OLED panel reportedly showed a blur length of 0.9mm, a 10% improvement over a 120Hz LCD panel in video playback. Benefits of a shorter blur length include less motion blur and clearer movement when watching videos.

Samsung says it has been supplying OLED panels for global laptop makers such as ASUS, Lenovo, Dell and HP. Aside from the new 14-inch ASUS Zenbook and Vivovbook Pro that use the 90Hz OLED panels, the 16-inch models are equipped with Samsung's industry-first 4K OLED panels.
