Samsung wasted no time in bringing Android 11 to its handsets, with the Galaxy S20 series, Note20 range, and Note10. However, the company will need to delay updates to the S10, Z Flip 5G and Z Fold2 to address significant battery draining issues.

Wearables tech website TizenHelp found that Samsung will be delaying Android 11 updates to the Galaxy S10, S10+, S10e, Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy Fold 2, and these phones' 5G counterparts. TizenHelp cited a message left behind by Samsung's Beta Operation Manager who works within the South Korean Samsung online community, which stated delays no thanks to the issues found ahead of public rollout.

Community members who participated in the closed beta users experience several hiccups on these phone models running One UI 3 (the reskinned Android 11 equivalent for Samsung devices). The biggest being significant battery drain, with some others experiencing app crashes. It looks like it's back to the drawing board for the time being.

One UI 3 is said to contain enhancements that also stem from Android 11. If you're not sure what Android 11 offers, do remember to check this summary out. For One UI 3, you can read about it (and become a beta tester) here.
