Samsung CH711.

The Samsung CH711 curved gaming monitor was first unveiled at CES 2017. Over at the Samsung Southeast Asia and Oceania Forum that was held today, the Korean electronics giant revealed that the CH711's 32-inch variant will be available in Singapore come July 2017. Our local Samsung officials did not announce its pricing, nor the availability details of the 27-inch variant yet.

The Samsung CH711 packs a display with nearly 125% sRGB color coverage, WQHD resolution (2,560 x 1,440 pixels resolution), and quantum dot display technology. Its curved design brings a 178-degree viewing angle through its 1,800R curvature. Other quality-of-life features include horizontal and vertical display positioning, a 360-degree design, and a neck stand that hides the monitor’s power and HDMI cables.

This confirmation complements Samsung’s major gaming monitor releases that made headlines last year. That includes the CFG70 in 24-inch and 27-inch variants, as well as the 34-inch CF791; they were first unveiled at IFA 2016.

Like the CH711, the CFG70’s and CF791’s key feature was quantum dot technology. Originally made for their television products, quantum dot technology made their way into Samsung’s gaming displays, allowing gaming monitors to enjoy benefits that are similar to OLED technology. We’ve covered the technicalities here.

The Samsung CFG70 and CF791 monitors’ official retail prices are below. The CFG70 monitors were available since SITEX 2016; CF791 is available now:

  • CFG70 (24-inch): S$648
  • CFG70 (27-inch): S$768
  • CF791 (34-inch): S$1,498

Samsung Singapore said that the other details pertaining to CH711 are not announced yet.
