Samsung recently announced two new members of the Galaxy A series, the Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018).

Both Galaxy A8 phones sport the unique Infinity Displays which were introduced on the Galaxy S8. The Galaxy A8 (2018) has a 5.6-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display while the Galaxy A8+ (2018) has a bigger 6.0-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display. Both phones also boast dual front cameras (16MP f/1.9 + 8MP f/1.9) which can deliver bokeh effects via the Live Focus feature.

Other similar specs include an octa-core processor (2.2GHz Dual + 1.6GHz Hexa), USB Type-C with fast charging support, Android 7.1.1, LTE CAT 11 support, NFC, MST, Bluetooth 5.0, fingerprint sensor, IP68 water/dust resistance and storage options of 32/64GB.

The Galaxy A8+ (2018) is available in two configurations (4/6GB RAM) with a 3,500mAh battery while the Galaxy A8 (2018) has only one variant (4GB RAM) and 3,000mAh battery.

Samsung states that the Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018) will be available in early January 2018 in four colors (black, orchid grey, gold and blue).
