Samsung’s CES 2022 monitor announcements have landed, and they showcase four monitors designed to deliver improved gaming and working experiences.

Odyssey Neo G8

The little brother of the Odyssey Neo G9, the Odyssey Neo G8 G85NB is no less impressive.

The 32-inch monitor packs a 4K (3,840 x 2,160), 1000R curved display, 2,000 nits of brightness, 240Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time (GtG), in a Quantum mini-LED display. Reports say that it has two HDMI 2.1 and one DisplayPort 1.4, but whether they are full HDMI 2.1 ports remains to be seen.

As with other Odyssey monitors, support for NVIDIA’s G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro is also there so your games should run smoothly and tear-free, assuming your GPU is powerful enough to push 4K resolution at fast frame rates.

Smart Monitor M8

Slimmed-down from the previous model, the 2022 Smart Monitor M8 has a UHD 4K display but now includes a SmartThings hub to control compatible smart home devices directly from the hub, without the need for a PC. It works with an included remote control, much like those seen with Samsung TVs.

It also includes a magnetic SlimFit webcam and a video call application that supports the most calling apps like Google Duo and others.

There is a USB Type-C port supporting 65W charging connections, so users will get a streamlined all-in-one workstation experience that doesn’t require an additional docking station.

High-Resolution Monitor S8

The Samsung High-Resolution Monitor S8 S80PB is available in 27-inch and 32-inch sizes and targets creators and designers who need the highest levels of colour accuracy. The UHD 4K display delivers 98% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and is also verified Glare Free.

Both models feature USB Type-C 90W charging and LAN ports to help users create a simplified workstation that can charge laptops and mobile devices with no additional docking station required.

They come with a Height Adjustable Stand (HAS) that tilts, swivels, and pivots around control points so users can mount their monitor to suit any environment.
