Rumoured Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 to have larger cover screen than Oppo Find N2 Flip
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 is rumoured to come with an even bigger cover screen than the Oppo Find N2 Flip’s.
As reported on 9To5Google, famous phone tipster Ice Universe (@universeice on Twitter) shared a “first leak” where the tipster’s “sure” of the external screen on Flip5 being bigger than Oppo Find N2 Flip’s cover screen.
In case you weren’t following, Oppo specifically mentioned the Find N2 Flip’s 3.26-inch cover screen is larger than Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4’s, and reminded its fans about it when sending out its 2 March 2023 Singapore launch invite.
No further details were shared, so we’re also unclear how much bigger Z Flip5’s external display will be, based on the tipster’s leak. Also, the leak's timing suggests a strange display-measuring contest between foldable phone makers, albeit it’s a comparison made by a tipster.
Is a bigger external display a good thing? In our Galaxy Z Flip4 review, we’ve said that we expected and wanted a more prominent and improved Cover Screen for added practicality, which did not happen when Samsung moved on from their Galaxy Z Flip3. If the rumours prove true, the Galaxy Z Flip5 might be worth a spin, even if it’s just for that foldable feature.
This also puts the Oppo Find N2 Flip in a curious spot, since it’s also down to Oppo to show users how they make its external display useful (and worth a change from typical bar-shaped phones).
