Rumor: Specs and images of the new Fujifilm XF10

Rumors of the successor to the XF70 have been abound lately, with most sources citing Nokishita camera’s list of camera specs as the most accurate to date.

Here’s what they look like:

  • 24.2 Megapixel APS-C sensor
  • 18.5 mm F/2.8 lens (28 mm in 35mm equivalent terms)
  • Minimum focusing distance: 10 cm
  • Rear LCD: 3.0” type with touch
  • 4K video
  • Wi-Fi and Bluetooth ready
  • Size: 112.5 x 64.4 x 41.0 mm
  • Weight: 278.9 g
  • Able to switch to square mode (1: 1 format ) with a single flick
  • Built in Digital Teleconverter to change focal length of either 35 mm or 50 mm
  • Total of 11 film simulation options with 19 advanced filters installed (addition of “Rich & Fine” and “Monochrome [NIR]”)
  • Color options: Black/ Champagne gold
  • Overseas price: 449 pounds

Fujirumors seems convinced that the camera will have a regular Bayer sensor instead of Fuji's X-Trans, and it seems from the images that the rear LCD will be a fixed one. Perhaps to keep the camera as slim as possible? £449 would put it at about S$800 (or about S$860 after taxes), so that would be quite a bit cheaper than the X70 (S$1199 at launch). If Fujirumors is right, this would make the XF10 the second Bayer-based camera Fuji has released this year after the X-T100. A tactical move to make their cameras cheaper and thus more accessible perhaps?
