Ruggedized Samsung Galaxy Tab Active now available in Singapore

First unveiled at IFA 2014, and then spotted in October on IDA's approved equipment list, the ruggedized Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is now available in Singapore.

The Galaxy Tab Active is a ruggedized tablet targeted specifically at business users who are often out in the field. The tablet is IP67 certified against dust and water and comes with an anti-shock protection case that can withstand drops of up to 1.2m. The 8-inch tablet sports a WXGA LCD screen and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1.5GB memory.

The tablet also protects against hackers through its defense-grade Samsung Knox mobile security software. Other features include a 3.1MP Auto Focus Camera that easily scans barcodes, and NFC connectivity for saving time on communications and work process management. These essential features can greatly boost productivity, such as with transportation and logistics managers who can leverage the Galaxy Tab Active to seamlessly connect with a building’s foreman on shipping and receiving.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is available now at $698 for the LTE version and $598 for the Wi-Fi version.
