Ruark's all-in-one home music system - R5 Signature - comes to Singapore

British high-fidelity audio brand Ruark Audio is bringing the R5 Signature all-in-one home music system to Singapore. Unlike the Ruark R5 it was based on, this is a limited edition model that turns its detailing and performance up to 11.

The Ruark R5 Signature has a Piano Lacquer finish with machined alloy Rose Gold detailing to fully embody its premium luxury aesthetic. On the front (the side that typically faces its owner) is a Camira Fabrics grille in lead grey with an OLED panel in its centre.

Inside, the R5 Signature packs a STEREO+, where Ruark improved upon the predecessor's Class A-B amplifier and 75mm, full-range neodynanium NS+ drivers by re-routing its key signal paths and switching to oxygen-free speaker cables. Ruark said that the changes to its 90W, 2.1 audio system has "extra sound clarity" when compared to the original R5.

The Ruark R5 Signature stands at 142 x 520 x 300mm and weighs 9.5kg, making it an ideal at-home mothership for your key audio needs. As an all-in-one sound system, it has Wi-Fi streaming for Spotify, wireless support for Tidal, Deezer, Amazon Music, AptX HD Bluetooth compatibility (up to 24-bit), DAB/FM and Internet radio tuners - and all those are just the wireless sources it can pull from.

Wired/physical inputs offered are a multi-format CD player, USB playback (which also offers charging of other devices), an Ethernet port, a digital optical port, RCA connectors for turntables, as well as separate RCA connectors for stereo analogue input and output ports.

For controls, there's the trademark RotoDial tactile input built into the top of the device, as well as a separate remote control that comes in the same design language as the R5 Signature.

All that beauty, connectivity, and exclusivity would naturally mean that the Ruark R5 Signature costs a pretty penny. The audio system officially retails at S$2,799, and it's currently available at select Challenger outlets (ION Orchard, Bugis Junction), and official Ruark Audio online platforms like Lazada and Shopee.
