The ROG Ryujin III 360 ARGB Extreme is ASUS' latest addition to their line-up of AIO water-cooling solutions, building on the foundation of its predecessor, the Ryujin III 360.
This updated cooler features a brand-new pump from Asetek, the Gemma Gen8 V2. According to ASUS, this upgrade promises higher flow rates and lower impedance, which theoretically should result in improved cooling performance.
The Ryujin III 360 ARGB Extreme also comes with beefier fans. The trio of 120mm fans has been upgraded to 30mm thick, providing greater static pressure across all noise levels. The goal? You guessed it: better performance. One feature we particularly appreciate is the fans’ daisy-chain capability. This simplifies cable management, resulting in a much cleaner, hassle-free installation. PC builders today might take this ease for granted, but it's a significant improvement over older setups. And naturally, the fans come with ARGB lighting—because, in 2024, can you ever have too much RGB in your system?
As part of ASUS’ Extreme series, a screen is also included. In this case, the 3.5-inch display on the Ryujin III 360 ARGB Extreme has received two key upgrades: its refresh rate has been bumped from 30Hz to 60Hz, and its resolution has increased from 240p to 480p. While these changes might seem minor, they should make a noticeable difference in readability and the overall quality of whatever you choose to display. Through ASUS' Armoury Crate software, users now have even more options to customise their screen content, whether it’s system stats, wallpapers, or animations tailored to your custom PC build.
