Rock on with LEGO Ideas' new Fender Stratocaster set
LEGO guitars? What’s next, LEGO shoes?
The LEGO Group has announced its new LEGO Ideas Fender Stratocaster set, which allows you to assemble the iconic Fender Stratocaster guitar in LEGO form. The guitar has famously been played by legends in the music industry (Buddy Holly and Eric Clapton, for example), and this new set has been created by LEGO Ideas fan designer Tomas Letenay.
This set also gives you the option to either build a red or black version of the 1970s Fender Stratocaster, depending on your aesthetic wants. It features six strings, poseable tuning pegs, a whammy bar and a tremolo arm for distortion. The guitar is about 36cm high, so don’t expect a massive beast to come out of your build.
It also comes with a folding display stand and an accompanying foot pedal and amp. The ‘65 Princeton Reverb amplifier has back and top covers, which can be removed if you’d like to show off its inner speaker code, wiring and other innards like its tubes, speaker and motherboard.
The LEGO Ideas Fender Stratocaster set is coming to LEGO Certified Stores in Singapore on 1 October, 2021 for S$179.90. We actually have a Stratocaster at home, and the LEGO version would look pretty neat next to it! Fortunately, it doesn’t break the bank like a few other LEGO sets we’ve reported on - such as the LEGO 1989 Batwing.
