Roborock just unveiled its latest flagship robot vacuum lineup, the Roborock S8 Series, and a new cordless wet-dry vacuum, the Dyad Pro. The Roborock S8 Series is available in three models: S8 Pro Ultra, S8+ and S8.
The Roborock S8 Series comes with 6,000 Pa suction power, (compared to the 5,100 Pa suction power of the S7 MaxV Ultra), Reactive 3D Obstacle Avoidance System and a new dual rubber roller brush to enhance dirt pick up. The new roller brush is also more effective in resisting hair tangles.
For the S8 Pro Ultra, the brush is automatically lifted for up to 6mm under the mop-only mode, and when the robot vacuum returns to the dock. In comparison, the automatic mop lifting on the S7 MaxV Ultra is up to 4mm.
While the S8+ and S8 have the standard sonic mopping technology at a frequency of 3,000 times per min, the S8 Pro Ultra comes with two vibration modules for better efficiency.
Exclusive on the S8 Pro Ultra is the new RockDock Ultra system. It offers automatic mop washing, dust emptying, refilling, self-cleaning, and a new warm air-drying feature to prevent the growth of mold/odours on the mop pad and dock.
The Roborock Dyad Pro delivers 17,000 pa of suction power, and is able to vacuum and mop at the same time. Roborock claims the Dyad Pro can get into smaller corners and difficult areas of the home, reaching as close as 1mm to the wall.
The Dyad Pro can also intelligently adapts the cleaning power, water flow, and dispenses the cleaning solution accordingly for more effective cleaning.
When docked, the Dyad Pro automatically cleans its rollers using a bi-directional motion. This is followed by automatic self-drying to minimise build-up of odours and bacteria.
Roborock states the S8 Series will be available for purchase on Amazon and its official store in the U.S from April 2023 with prices starting from US$749.99. The Dyad Pro will be available for purchase on the same retail channels sometime this month with a price tag of US$449.99.
