Less than two months after mocking Apple for removing the power adapter, Samsung appears to be doing the same thing.

According to Brazilian website Tecnoblog, the upcoming Galaxy S21 models have just been approved by the Brazilian regulatory agency ANATEL. The documentation indicates that all three Galaxy S21 models will not come with a power adapter and earphones in the retail box.

Korean news site ETNews reported in July that Samsung is removing the power adapter from the retail box of some phones in 2021 to cut costs. South Korean media claimed in October that the Galaxy S21 may not come with a power adapter and earphones.

In a now-removed post, Samsung mocked Apple for ditching the power adapter on the iPhone 12. It added that the Galaxy devices give what consumers are looking for, which are the charger, best camera, battery, performance, memory and a 120Hz screen.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S21 in January. The earlier-than-expected launch will reportedly help the company steal market share from Huawei and compete against Apple. High resolution renders of the devices have been leaked alongside the key specs and features.
