Gaming-focused smartphone brand Redmagic is venturing into the space of gaming monitors. The company revealed its first-generation 4K HDR monitor with a speedy 160Hz refresh rate, designed for gamers who want both crisp visuals and fluid performance.

The 27-inch monitor has over 2,000 mini led lights for improved black levels and a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. It is also claiming 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space and boasts a Display HDR 1000 certification. The 3,840 x 2,160-pixel resolution should look incredibly sharp on a 27-inch screen as well.

The 160Hz refresh rate will lend itself well to fast-paced titles like competitive shooters, allowing for smoother, more responsive gameplay.

The monitor stand is highly adjustable, and the screen can be rotated 90° clockwise or anti-clockwise to fit your setup. Dedicated modes are available to suit different mediums, including Movie Mode for enhanced contrast and colour saturation, FPS Mode for enhanced visibility in dark areas, and MOBA Mode that optimises for your opponent's life bar and skill cooldown colour.

It offers a wide range of connectivity options too, including HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, USB-C, USB-A, and an earphone jack. To cap things off, the monitor's back has a bold triangular centerpiece that features RGB lighting effects.

The new gaming monitor will be available for international shipping from North America
at redmagic.gg. Pre-orders begin on April 3, and the monitor will be available to buy starting April 6.
