After three long years, Razer has finally released a wireless version of its popular Viper Mini. Unfortunately, most of us probably won't be able to afford it.

The Razer Viper Mini Signature Edition costs S$409, and it will be a Razer store exclusive when it releases on February 11.

And while Razer has always resisted adding holes to its mice, pumping out a slew of ultralight rodents with solid shells, the Viper Mini SE features gigantic triangular cutouts. It looks like when Razer decides to go light, it goes in all the way.

The Viper Mini SE features a magnesium alloy top shell, which adds some extra rigidity and ensures the mouse remains structurally sound despite the massive cutouts. It weighs in at 49g, Razer's lightest mouse ever, although not quite the lightest you can buy today.

The magnesium construction puts it in the same company as the alternately beloved and criticised Finalmouse Starlight-12 and Pro mice, which are even lighter at 43g.

But despite the multitude of honeycomb mice available today, the Viper Mini looks nothing like the competition. The unique cutouts help it stand out, and it is packed with Razer's newest technologies, including its Focus Pro 30K optical sensor, optical mouse switches Gen 3, and a 4,000Hz wireless polling rate.

There is support for fast charging as well, and Razer says the mouse can fully charge in under 90 minutes.

The HyperPolling wireless dongle, usually sold separately at S$45, is included in the box, so you don't have to buy it separately to enjoy the 4,000Hz polling rate.

For the price, Razer has also thrown in the full works. You get a set of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 mouse feet, an extra set of PTFE feet, a microfibre cleaning cloth, two sets of grip tape, and two alcohol prep pads.

If the price is still too much to swallow, Razer has already confirmed that a more affordable version is on the way.
