Razer just announced a collaboration with Tencent to bring mobile gaming experience to the next level. The collaboration will see both companies combine their strengths to focus on three areas: hardware, software and services.

Tencent, which is the global publisher for popular mobile game titles such as PUBG Mobile and Arena of Valor, will work closely with Razer to optimize mobile games for Razer's hardware which include the Razer Phone lineup and mobile accessories such as the mobile game controllers designed by Razer.

The optimization of mobile games for Razer's hardware also extends to Razer's mobile game platforms and Cortex mobile game launcher. Tencent will explore the use of Razer's technologies within the mobile games such as THX Spatial Audio.

In the aspect of services, both companies will explore additional monetization opportunities for mobile gaming including integrating Razer services and more.

“Mobile gaming keeps growing at an incredible pace and at Razer, we are poised to be a leader in the segment. We have been working with Tencent since 2008 and are excited to now enter into a collaboration with them to spearhead future innovation in the space,” said Min-Liang Tan, Co-Founder and CEO of Razer. “With the strengths of Tencent and Razer combined, we are going to supercharge the mobile gaming industry.”
