Razer has announced the new 'ultra-low friction' Acari mouse mat

Razer has just revealed their new Acari mouse mat, an accessory meant to give gamers the highest level of precision and smoothness possible when using a mouse.

We’ll get the ridiculous price out of the way first - this thing will cost you S$89.90. The Acari mouse mat does have a couple features that might justify that price, however. First off, it uses an oleophobic surface on top of a nano-bead layer to reduce the build-up of binding agents such as natural skin oils and dust. That should be pretty tempting to any gamer who likes having snacks around while they play.

The mat measures in at 420x320mm, with a 1.95mm thick non-slip base. It should offer plenty of room for even the most intense multiplayer games, with a textured rubber backing that supposedly offers a slick gliding surface. And no, it does not come with RGB lighting.

The Razer Acari is now available on Razer.com and at authorised resellers.
