Razer shifts some production to face masks to fight COVID-19

Razer CEO Tan Min Liang said in a Facebook post that the company has spent the past few days converting some existing manufacturing lines to produce surgical masks to donate them to countries around the world.

Tan said that the company planned to donate up to one million masks to the authorities in different countries starting with Singapore where the Razer SEA HQ is located. He added that other global and regional offices would be reaching out to their respective governments and health authorities to see how their support and donations could be prioritised.

Razer is not alone in helping fight Covid-19.

Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai said in a blog that the company was partnering with the U.S. government in developing a website dedicated to Covid-19 education, prevention, and local resources nationwide. It would include best practices on prevention, links to authoritative information from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and helpful tips and tools from Google for individuals, teachers and businesses.
