Qualcomm unveils Snapdragon 780G with Wi-Fi 6E and integrated 5G modem
Qualcomm just announced its latest 7-series mobile platform, the Snapdragon 780G.
Succeeding the Snapdragon 765G and 768G, the Snapdragon 780G packs quite a punch with the Kyro 670 CPU that delivers 40% better performance, the Adreno 642 GPU that delivers up to 50% faster graphics, and the Spectra 570 triple ISP for capturing three simultaneous photo/video feeds at the same time.
Other specs include the 6th-gen AI engine powered by a Hexagon 770 processor which can perform 12 trillion operations per second (TOPS), a 2nd-gen Sensing Hub, integrated Snapdragon X53 5G modem that supports up to 3.3Gbps speeds on Sub-6 GHz 5G networks, Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, and Bluetooth 5.2.
The company states that consumer devices equipped with Snapdragon 780G will arrive in Q2.
