Qualcomm announced its latest mobile platform for mid-tier phones, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4.

Compared to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 delivers 11% improved CPU performance, up to 29% better GPU performance, and 12% power savings

The Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 is also the first in its series to have Gen AI and INT4 support. This allows voice-activated assistants, background noise reduction during calls, and on-device AI features such as content summarisation and email drafting.

Gamers should be pleased to know that the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 comes with Snapdragon Game Super Resolution which intelligently upscales visuals from 1080p to 4K while optimising performance and battery power.

As for connectivity, the Snapdragon 5G Modem-RF system supports mmWave and sub-6GHz spectrums with peak download speeds of 2.9Gbps, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.4.

Other specs include support for FHD+ displays with up to 144Hz refresh rates, Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+, and single-camera support for up to 200MP.

Qualcomm says leading phone brands such as Realme, OPPO, and Honor will release smartphones with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 in the coming months.
