Qualcomm announces the Snapdragon 888+ 5G mobile platform

Qualcomm just announced an upgrade to its flagship Snapdragon 888 mobile platform at Mobile World Congress 2021 in Barcelona.

Compared to the Snapdragon 888, the Snapdragon 888+ 5G mobile platform offers an increased Kryo 680 CPU Prime core clock speed at up to 2.9995 GHz (~3.0GHz) and an enhanced 6th generation AI Engine with up to 32 TOPS AI performance which is about 20% more powerful.

Qualcomm says commercial devices powered by the Snapdragon 888+ 5G mobile platform will be unveiled in Q3. The phone brands include ASUS, Honor, Motorola, Vivo and Xiaomi.
