QNAP launches budget 4K video conferencing solution called the KoiBox-100W

The KoiBox-100W is also compatible with Cloud-based video conferencing solutions.

Powered by the KoiMeeter video conferencing OS, the KoiBox-100W from QNAP video conferencing system, providing small meeting rooms with support for wireless presentations, cross-platform video communication solutions, and storage to record them.

Users can easily communicate with up to four other KoiMeeter enabled devices or compatible SIP-based systems (e.g. Avaya, Polycom, and others), or smartphones to start a video conference. There is also an Android and iOS based mobile app that can be downloaded and used to join and view meetings. Screen sharing during meetings is done via scanning the KoiBox-100W QR code.

Note however, that the free KoiMeeter plan allows for only KoiTalk on the App Store (apple.com). Users can purchase a KoiMeeter basic license plan for unlimited time.  

For users with companies already subscribed to Cloud-based video conferencing solutions, the KoiBox-100W allows for seamless communication between apps like Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, and Google Meet.

Local storage can be included by buying and adding a 2.5-inch SATA drive to store meeting video, audio, and files.

The KoiBox-100W will be available soon in Singapore from Convergent Systems for S$639 and a 2-year limited warranty.
