Purported CAD renders and third-party case reveal several design features of the upcoming Apple Watch Pro.

91Mobiles claims the renders came from industry sources and confirm that the Apple Watch Pro will be offered in a 49mm size. The renders show that the right side of the smartwatch has a protruding module that houses the Digital Crown, microphone and multitasking button.

In addition, another render shows a new button on the left side which could possibly be used for fitness-related tasks. This is corroborated by a photo uploaded by tipster @SonnyDickson of a third-party case for the Apple Watch Pro.

Mark Gurman from Bloomberg reported in July that the bigger display could be used to show more fitness data on the watch face. In addition, the chassis of the Apple Watch Pro will be built with a strong metal material and the display will be more resistant to shatters. It will also have a bigger battery.

Apple is holding its "Far Out" event on 7 September (8 September, 1AM SGT) to unveil the iPhone 14, Apple Watch Series 8, Apple Watch SE, Apple Watch Pro and AirPods Pro 2. Do check out our round-up article on what to expect from these devices!
