Purported iPad mini 6 cases reveal new design that fits Apple Pencil on the side

The new design and specs of the upcoming Apple mini 6 may have been revealed by tipster @MajinBuOfficial.

In line with previous rumours, the 6th-gen iPad mini is seen with a similar design to the iPad Air. There are squared-off edges, no home button, Touch ID integrated with the power button, and relocated volume controls to the top left corner.

As all iPads to date come with volume controls on the right side, this marks a major shift in the iPad design and it seems to be for a good reason. One image appears to show the Apple Pencil attached to the right side of the device. If the volume buttons are still on the right side, there would not be sufficient space to attach the Apple Pencil.

The tipster also shared some specs of the tablet which include an 8.6-uinch display, A14 chipset, USB-C port, Smart connector, Apple Pencil 2 support, five colour options (space gray, silver, rose gold, green, sky blue). Tipped to launch in November, prices are stated to range from US$399 to US$679.
